Lokesh takes charge as TDP coordinator Hyderabad, 19 June: Nara Lokesh, the son of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu formally took reins as a 'party co-ordinator' of Telugu Desam Party.
The move is to ease the party work from the Chief Minister who is grappling with the birth pangs of the residuary State. On Tuesday, Naidu appointed Lokesh as coordinator for the Rs.20 crore welfare fund set up for the welfare of party workers.
He directed Lokesh to hold consultations with party leaders and workers to work out the modalities as also a full-fledged plan for its utilisation. Naidu announced the creation of the welfare fund during the party conference, Mahanadu held last month.
