Ban on TV9, Govt has nothing to do: KTR Hyderabad : Minister for Information Technology of Telangana K Taraka Ramarao (KTR) made it clear that the State government had nothing to do with the decision of the Telangana MSOs to stop programs of two Telugu news channels.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating India Gadget Expo-2014 in Hitex here, Rao said it was not proper to attribute the decision of the Telangana MSOs to the government. He suggested that the managements of two news channels hold discussions with MSOs to resolve the issue.
The Minister said Hyderabad city would be further developed on the technology front. He reminded that Hyderabad stood second in the country in software sector. Efforts would be made to turn the city as hardware hub also, headed.
KTR informed that new hardware policy would be released in six months. The new policy would be like encouraging small companies. Stating that the government would encourage young entrepreneurs through incubation centers, he reminded that an incubation center was already opened.
He also disclosed that two electronic manufacturing clusters would be developed in Maheshwararam shortly. Talent Sprint chairman James Choudhary, Hitex managing director Nagendra Prasad said the Expo would go on for four days.
