Telangana Cabinet to decide on loan-waiver Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao decided to discuss the crop loan waiver issue in the Cabinet to find a solution at the earliest and is likely to conduct meeting of the Council of Ministers soon.
He made this revelation to the Finance officials during a discussion on the loan waiver issue with the officials. The CM announced during the recent Assembly session that all the loans of the farmers would waive off.
In fact he wanted to discuss the issue on Friday itself with the ministers and asked the available Cabinet colleagues to meet him. However, it did not materialize due to obvious reasons.
Officers of Finance Department are taking necessary steps to find out a way out in this regard. The CM office informed that Cabinet meeting will be held within a week's time and it will take a decision regarding fulfilling the promises made in the election manifesto like loan waiver, pensions etc.
However, the Finance dept. will take a decision with regard to the actual date of implementation and accordingly orders will be issued after final decision is made.
The Chief Minister is monitoring the subject keenly and personally and any challenges in this regard will be adequately tackled without causing inconvenience to people.
