Congress, TDP MLCs join TRS Hyderabad, June 25: In a big blow to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Congress party an exodus of its Telangana leaders into the TRS has begun.Nine MLCs and two MLAs have joined TRS party on Wednesday. Two of the BSP MLA's Indrakaran Reddy and Koneru Konappa have also joined the party in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Bhanu Prasad said that AICC president Sonia Gandhi put in a lot of effort to form the state of Telangana. 'We joined TRS only for the development of Telangana,' said Bhanu Prasad.
TRS is eyeing an absolute majority in Council with these defections. This mass exodus will strengthen TRS in T-Legislative Council. Now, The ruling party have got every chance to make its member Chairman of the Counsil.
Already TRS has 6 MLCs in the house. With the addition of 9 more MLCs, the figure would touch 15 MLCs out of a total of 32 sitting-in MLCs. By this, TRS party gets the maximum number figure to dominate in the council. So, it was learnt that Swamy Goud would be offered the chairman post after taking it from Vidyasagar.

BSP MLAs: Indrakaran Reddy, Koneru Konappa
Ex-MLCs: Mohan Reddy, Indrasena Reddy
