Bishop booked for harassing woman VIJAYAWADA: The Suryaraopet police registered a case against Govada Dyvasirvadam, the moderator of the Church of South India (CSI) and Bishop of Krishna-Godavari Diocese of the CSI here. He was booked under the IPC Sections 354 (intent to outrage the modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
Deevena, wife of a pastor Konda John Sastry, has lodged a complaint at the One Town police station alleging that the bishop had misbehaved with her when she went to him to discuss her husband's transfer issue.
Circle-inspector of Suryaraopet police station M Srinivas said that they had registered a case, and investigation is on.
