Auction of plots in VUDA layouts in Visakhapatnam
VISAKHAPATNAM: The open auction for disposal of 244 plots in 13 VUDA layouts would be conducted at the Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium in the city on June 28 and 29.
As there is a huge demand for 164 plots in Sontyam layout, the auction for these plots will be held on June 28 and for plots in the remaining layouts on June 29.
However, the VUDA authorities have decided to delete 23 plots among the notified plots during the present auction on administrative grounds.
In a release, VUDA officials said that total 642 applications were received through online system with highest options and applications for plots in Sontyam layout.
Special counters would be arranged at the auction venue to facilitate the applicants who have already submitted applications online.
The VUDA staff will extend their services at these counters pertaining to fulfilling shortfalls and lapses in applications, collection of difference amount if any, downloading of auction slips, verification and authorising the auction slips, collection of signatures missing on applications and others.
About 150 applicants were informed about shortfalls with applications. VUDA vice-chairman N Yuvaraj informed all the applicants to gather an hour before the auction to get the lapses fulfilled. Applicants are informed to produce two copies of auction slips downloaded along with identity proof.
