Prepare growth plans from village level: KCR HYDERABAD: Comprehensive development of Telangana and bringing corruption to zero level are the top priorities of TRS government.
For this, development plans will be readied soon from district to state levels. 'Do not prepare plans while sitting in Hyderabad,' Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials.
On corruption, Rao said: 'I will not compromise on bringing corruption to zero level,' Rao made it clear at a brainstorming session on development here.
Chief Minister Rao directed the officials to prepare master plans for village, district and State for faster and comprehensive development of Telangana in the next five years.
At the session at MCR HRD, with his advisors and other senior officials, the Chief Minister made it clear that officials should not prepare plans by sitting in the state capital.
'Separate plans should be prepared from village to state level,' he directed the officials. 'Even one lakh km journey will start with one step. Preparing development plans is the first step in the five-year journey of the government.
So, come up with comprehensive plans,' Chandrasekhar Rao told officials. For preparing the development plans, the Chief Minister decided to hold a meeting on July 7 at MCR HRD at 10.30 am. All the State and District-level officers will participate in the meeting.
Different plans for village, district and State are necessary to implement programmes as per local needs. A single plan prepared by officers in Hyderabad might not be suitable for a particular village or district, Rao opined.
'The new state should follow new governance and an innovative path for development from village to state level,' Rao said. Right from the Chief Minister to village sarpanch, all should be involved in preparing the development plans, Rao said.
'This is to give a feeling that this is my village, my mandal, my district and my state among all the peoples' representatives,' the Chief Minister said. With such a commitment, the peoples' representatives would develop the state, he added.
'Right from sarpanch to Chief Minister all are new to the posts. Naturally, all of them want to work hard to earn good name. Officials should guide them in that direction,' Rao said.
ACTS TO BE SCRAPPED
'The present schemes and plans are prepared by the rulers of united AP. The AP partisan attitude is clearly visible in these programmes. If necessary, the existing Acts may be revised in tune with the aspirations of the people of Telangana. Some Acts, which are irrelevant to Telangana, may be scrapped forthwith,' the Chief Minister said.
BRIGADE OF 500
The Chief Minister directed the officials to constitute a brigade with 500 officers for successful implementation of land distribution programme.
NEW DISTRICTS
At the meeting, creation of new districts also came up for discussion. District Collectors will be strengthened by increasing the number of joint collectors. Special officers will be appointed for Education, Medical and Welfare departments.
