News: Headline News | Budget: What has it for AP and TG?
New Delhi: Telugu States Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had pinned high hopes on the Union Budget released today. Telangana state has a disappointing budget with no remarkable allotments while Andhra Pradesh state has slightly better allocations but still will be disappointed as there is no announcement of special status and financial aid to cover the deficit budget.
The Narendra Modi Government has been kind to the residuary Andhra Pradesh and the union Government has laid focus on health and education sectors in Andhra Pradesh. Jaitley who has been enduring severe low back pain had presented the budget seated in his chair.
Considering the alliance they have with TDP the Finance Minister showered heaps of goodies on the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.
What Andhra Pradesh got?
1. Industrial Corridor between Vishakapatnam and Chennai
2. 500 Crores for the proposed AIIMS in AP
3. Center to setup IIT and Agricultural University
4. National academy of customs and excise Academy to come up at Hindupur
5. Krishnapatnam as industrial smart city
6. Measures to Hardware development in Kakinada
What Telangana got?
1. Center to setup Horticulture University.( 200 crore)
2. Debt Recovery Tribunal in Hyderabad
Finance Minister just made a formal mention that justice will be done to both the states after state division.We believe that our Finance Minister's budget fulfills the hope of making our state, a vibrant one that teeming millions are dreaming of!.
