Gold loan waiver too under consideration, says Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has said that he was making efforts to get farm loans rescheduled and reiterated that he would try to waive off all the farm loans taken before March 2014.
Speaking at the TDP workers and local body representatives' meet here on Saturday, Naidu said while only some sections benefited from loan waiver during the Congress tenure, people from all sections will benefit in the TDP regime. Efforts were on to waive off even gold loans, he added.
Urging TDP workers and leaders to work with a vision to develop the new state, Naidu promised that the capital city would be announced by August. He also clarified that the Assembly constituencies would increase in the future.
The chief minister further explained that AP, blessed with long coastline, will be developed on the lines of Gujarat and promised to develop the Machilipatnam port. Besides setting up oil refineries and industries, he promised nine-hour power supply to farmers and uninterrupted power supply to industries.
Blaming the Congress for the bifurcation, which landed AP in deep financial crisis, the chief minister said that the Congress would have no future in the region. He also fired a salvo against the YSRC for playing mind games during the elections.
Naidu announced that a committee would be set up to include Kapu community in BC category.
