KCR asks GHMC to get tough with illegal buildings HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to take stringent action against those blatantly violating the building construction rules and going for illegal constructions in the city.
The Chief Minister directed the officials not to spare major deviations in rules and major illegal constructions. The Chief Minister is of the view that some minor deviations in building rules could be tolerated to some extent.
But, the major deviations done in a blatant manner could not be tolerated any cost, the Chief Minister said at a review meeting on GHMC at Secretariat on Saturday.
According to sources, the Chief Minster pointed out that some were taking permission for one floor and constructing four to five floors and this should not be tolerated.
