KCR goes into industry overdrive HYDERABAD: All the non-agricultural lands are likely to be transferred to Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), which will take a decision on allotting them to industrialists. CM K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials to examine the proposal.
The lands in the proposed industrial parks will have all permissions. This will help the industrialists set up industries immediately without wasting time for obtaining permissions from around 17 to 22 departments. At a review on industrial sector at secretariat, the Chief Minister directed the officials to allot lands to a particular industry at one place.
The state government will also enact a law soon allocating 10 per cent of the water in irrigation projects to industries.
The Chief Minister said that the government will soon come out with the best industrial policy, which will attract investments from across the globe. The Chief Minister said that the single window clearance would be introduced soon. A chasing cell will also be set up at the CMO. The CM has decided to conduct a meeting with industry representatives within four days.
The Chief Minister said that his government's aim was to make Warangal as an industrial corridor. A textile park will be set up in 2,000 acres on the lines of Tirupur textile park.
The Chief Minister said that the government was in touch with SAIL to set up a steel industry on the borders of Warangal-Khammam districts. Around `30,000 crore investment will come from SAIL.
