Hyderabad to become global city Hyderabad: Hyderabad will be transformed into a global city in the next five years with a comprehensive master plan. This was decided at the Cabinet meeting of the Telangana government headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday.
Briefing media after the five-hour marathon Cabinet meeting, KCR said a new master plan would be prepared soon to make Hyderabad a truly global city with international standards on all fronts. He said services of international consultancies would be taken for preparing the master plan.
The Chief Minister said the Cabinet had decided to introduce a single window system for giving all clearances to industries and software companies to expand their activities in Hyderabad. Instructions would be issued to the Industries department immediately, he said.
The Cabinet had given nod to the steps to be taken to modernize Hyderabad and Cyberabad police Commissionerates by replacing new vehicles and fresh recruitments at a cost of Rs 340 crore. As many as 43 important decisions were taken during the Cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat.
