Chandrababu Naidu to start TV channel?
Hyderabad, July 17: Unlike other languages, Telugu people are in flood of news channels. Yet one more new(s) channel going to hit Telugu homes soon, may be by this year end.
According to highly placed sources TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is planning to have a own TV Channel. At present Naidu is glad with the media reporting. But in view of future needs he desires a dedicated channel in support of TDP.
CBN's son Lokesh has been working on this for the last couple of months and it is expected that we get more clarity about the channel in the next few days! Your speculation would go wrong if you imagine the channel aims only Andhra region. Interestingly, Lokesh wants to popularize it in Telangana too.
So far, the two leading media groups-- Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy-- are seen the mouthpieces of the TDP in general and Naidu in particular. Since they have a significant share of the readership and viewership, the TDP did not feel the need to have an exclusive TV channel for itself to do its bidding.
However, with the changed scenario after state's bifurcation the top TDP leadership has come to the conclusion that an effective communication platform was needed to take its message to the people.
Few days before it was rumored that Telangana CM KCR too is contemplating to start a newspaper and channel which would be exclusively dedicated to bragging the achievements of the TRS government. Seems Chandrababu might have got inspiration from KCR idea and wants to follow the footsteps of his counterpart.
