KCR agrees to provide land for Naval Base Hyderabad, July 21 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed in principle to allot an extent of 2900 acres of forest land in Dammagudem Reserve Forest of Hyderabad division for setting up VLF Station Naval Base at Pudur Village, Vikarabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District in favour of Eastern Naval Command, Vizag.
Vice Admiral Satish Soni of Eastern Naval Command met the Chief Minister today in the Secretariat. The Chief Minister has agreed to extend all necessary cooperation to handover the land. An amount of Rs.115.06 crores will be paid by the Navy towards compensatory afforestation and net present value of the land in due course.
