T state to get 163 IAS officers Hyderabad: Taking steps to allocate All-India Administrative (AIS) officers to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states in view of division of the erstwhile combined AP, the Centre fixed cadre strength for the both.
The notification, issued under the Fifth Amendment to the Indian Administrative Service Regulation (Fixation of Cadre Strength), 1955, order, has sanctioned 211 Indian Administrative Service officers to AP and 163 to Telangana. According to the notification AP would get 144 Indian Police Service officers and Telangana 112.
As far as the IFS officers were concerned AP would get 82 and Telangana 65. Under the fixation of cadre, AP would get 437 All India Service posts and Telangana would get 340. Andhra Pradesh was given one chief secretary, two additional chief secretary, 12 principal secretary, 11 secretary, 23 secretary cum commissioner, one secretary to CCLA, 13 collectors, 13 joint collectors, 8 project director, 2 joint commissioners, 1 chief rationing officer, 22 director and 6 additional secretary posts under senior duty posts category.
It was also given 46 central deputation reserve, 28 state deputation reserve, 4 training reserve, 18 leave reserve and junior posts and 84 filled by promotion posts.
Telangana has been given one chief secretary, one additional chief secretary, 10 principal chief secretary, 5 secretary to government, 22 secretary cum commissioner, one secretary to CCLA, 10 collectors, 10 joint collectors, six project director, 2 joint commissioners, one chief rationing officer, 16 directors and 4 additional directors under senior duty posts. Telangana would also get 35 Central deputation posts, 22 state deputation, 3 training reserve, 14 leave reserve, 49 filled by promotion posts.
The notification further stated that Andhra Pradesh would get one director general of police (head of the police), one director general of police, 7 additional general of police, 17 inspector general of police, 13 deputy inspector general of police and 40 superintendent of police under senior duty posts.
The state would get 31 posts from central deputation reserve, 19 state deputation reserve, 2 training reserve, 13 leave reserve and 43 filled by promotion posts. Telangana would get one Director General of Police (head of the police), 5 Additional Director General of Police, 13 Inspector-General of Police, 11 Deputy Inspector-General of Police and 31 Superintendent of Police posts under senior duty officer category.
It would also get 24 Central deputation reserve, 15 state deputation, 2 training reserve, 10 leave reserve and 31 filled by promotion posts. In case of Indian Forest Service posts given to Andhra Pradesh, it would get 1 principal chief conservator (head of the forest force), one principal chief conservator, 5 additional chief conservator, 6 chief conservator, 13 conservator of forest, 25 deputy conservator of forest posts under senior duty posts cadre. It would also get 10 Central deputation reserve, 12 state deputation reserve, one training reserve, 8 leave reserve and 24 filled by promotions posts.
Telangana state would get one principal chief conservator (head of the forest force), one principal chief conservator, 3 additional chief conservator, 5 chief conservator, 10 conservators, 20 deputy conservator of forests under senior duty posts category. It would get 8 central deputation reserve, 10 state deputation reserve, one training reserve, six leave reserve, 19 filled by promotion posts.
