Almatti full to the brim, Jurala, Srisailam receives flood waters Hyderabad: Copious inflows into Almatti reservoir in Karnataka has resulted in an outflow of over one lakh cusecs in to reservoirs in the state, especially to Narayanpur, Jurala and Srisailam, raising the hopes of farmers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The heavy downpour in the Karnataka has led to copious inflows into these reservoirs. The inflow in to Almatti on Thursday was 87,079, while the outflow was 90,131cusecs.
Similarly, the inflow at Narayanpur dam was 88,091 cusecs and outflow was 89,382 cusecs. The flood water is expected to reach Srisailam reservoir early next week.
As on Thursday, the water level in Srisailam project stands at 831.9 feet against full reservoir level of 885 feet. It was 882 ft as on the same day last year. There is 51.35 TMC of water at Srisailam reservoir against its full capacity of about 215.80 TMC The storage was 199.74 TNC last year on the same day.
