Telangana budget session from Sept 2 Hyderabad: The budget session of Telangana Assembly would c1ommence on September 2. The Assembly is set to pass full-fledged budget as the vote on account period would end on the last day September.
The government would present full budget for the remaining six months in the present financial year. According to officials, the session would run for 21 working days. Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao held a meeting with the Assembly Secretary recently and discussed the arrangements for the budget session.
Telangana Legislative Council is also likely to meet during the same period. Governor ESL Narasimhan had, in May this year, approved the authorisation of expenditure fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States for a period of four months from June 2.
A budget of Rs 26,516 crore was approved for Telangana State. It included Rs 21,295 crore as the Revenue budget and Rs 3,046 crore as the Capital budget.
