Prof Papi Reddy appointed as TSCHE chairman
Hyderabad, Aug 5 (INN): Prof Tummala Papi Reddy has been appointed as the Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education. Papi Reddy hails from Adilabad and he studied in Warangal and Karimnagar districts.
He was a student leader in Kakatiya University. Later, he joined the KU as Assistant Professor. He had also served as the President and General Secretary of KU Faculty Association.
The Telangana Government had constituted a separate council for Higher Education on August 2 through a GO issued by the Department of Higher Education.
The Vice-Chancellors of Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University and Satavahana University were also appointed as the members of the TSCHE.
