GHMC polls only after delimitation: HC
Hyderabad: The High Court on Tuesday directed the state government not to conduct elections for GHMC until completion of the delimitation of divisions in the corporation.
In its interim order, HC also directed the state government to reorganize the division as per Census 2011 and GO No.570, which was issued for the reorganization of divisions based on population.
Alleging that GHMC officials were not implementing GO No.570, city BJP leader G Karunakar filed a petition in HC seeking directions to officials for the re-organisation of divisions based on population. Justice MS Ramachandra Rao issued the interim orders.
