BJP demands attempt to murder case on cops Hyderabad, Aug 7 (INN): Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday demanded that the TRS Government register attempt to murder cases against the police personnel for the lathicharge on protesting farmers on NH 44 near Narsingi of Medak district.
Addressing a press conference here along with Khairtabad MLA Chintala Ramchander Reddy, the T-BJP President said the police officials should be booked under Section 307 for their brutal lathicharge on farmers.
Demanding a high-level probe into the incident, he also asked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tender an unconditional apology. He criticised KCR, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy for not visiting the injured farmers of their native district.
Kishan Reddy compared the functioning of KCR with last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan in suppressing the protests. He demanded that the government pay compensation of Rs 1 lakh each to the farmers who were injured in lathicharge and their treatment cost should be paid by the government.
The BJP president also asked KCR to explain the steps being taken to resolve the issues including the power shortage, fee reimbursement, EAMCET counselling and regularisation of contract employees.
