DS seeks disqualification of rebel MLCs
Hyderabad, Aug 7 (INN): CLP leader in Legislative Council D Srinivas on Thursday requested Council Chairman Swamy Goud to disqualify eight MLCs who revolted against the Congress party.
In a representation made to the Chairman, Srinivas said that MLCs - KR Amos, B Gopal Reddy, N Rajalingam, T Bhanu Prasad Rao, S Jagadeshwar Reddy, Nethi Vidyasagar Rao, D Rajeshwar Rao and K Yadav Reddy have violated the party whip and therefore, they should be disqualified.
Speaking to media persons later, MLC MS Prabhakar said documentary evidence have been submitted to the Chairman seeking action against rebel MLCs. He said inaction in this regard would send a wrong message among people that the Council Chairman is working in a partisan manner.
