Extend door to door survey to one week, demands BJP Hyderabad, Aug 7 (INN): BJP senior leader N Indrasena Reddy on Thursday demanded that the State Government extend the proposed Comprehensive Household Survey by one week.
Speaking to media persons here, Indrasena Reddy said that it was impossible to cover about 86 lakh households in just one day on August 19. Therefore, the government should extend the survey by one week to get accurate data. He said that the Central Government too conducts Census for 11 days.
Indasena Reddy also accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of having failed to fulfill his promise of waiving off agricultural loans. He said KCR did not promise rescheduling of loans, but complete waiver. Therefore, he must fulfill the promise without any deviations.
He said that RBI Governor Raghuram Ranjan's statement against loan waiver and recent lathicharge on farmers were aimed at diverting the attention of people from the failure of promises. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not promise waiver of farm loans and therefore, blaming the Centre for the delay was wrong.
