Kolusu lambastes Naidu on loan waiver VIJAYAWADA: Former minister and YSR Congress leader Kolusu Parthasarathy lambasted the CM for not giving any clarity on fee reimbursement and loan waiver even after being in the saddle for two months.
Addressing newsmen at the party office here Friday, Parthasarathy found fault with Chandrababu for not addressing the fee reimbursement issue, DWCRA and farm loan waiver at the collectors' conference and said, 'On the one hand they collect funds from people in the name of constructing the state capital and on the other they spend lakhs of rupees on conducting conferences,' the minister took a jab.
He also said that the government was being indifferent to the problems of farmers and DWCRA groups. 'Because of the ruling party's wavering, the agriculture year has been pushed to August from June. Only 30-35 per cent of agriculture activity has taken place across the state till now,' he added.
He took a jab at Irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao saying that everybody thought that Devineni Uma would be the successor of Sir Arthur Cotton, but he proved otherwise.
'Why isn't the minister holding talks with his Telangana counterpart Harish Rao and hastening the process of releasing water to Krishna delta from Nagarjuna Sagar Project? It is unfortunate that the Irrigation minister who set up the office here has turn a deaf ear to the people's problems,' he added.
