Yanamala to head sub-committee on cement prices Hyderabad, Aug 11 (INN): To tide over the escalating cement prices issue and pacify the people for Rs 100 hike per a bag, Andhra Pradesh Government has constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee comprising Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu as Chairman and other two ministers are members including Kinjarapu Atchannaidu and Kaminneni Srinivas.
The Sub Committee Chairman on Monday held a meeting with Cement Companies at his Chambers in Secretariat here on Monday. The meeting decided to conduct next meeting on August 16 to take a final decision on reducing the prices.
Ramakrishundu while expressing concern over the rising cement prices asked the companies to come up with proposals to reduce the same. The people are unhappy over the hike of Rs 100 per each bag, he said suggesting that Cement Companies should understand the situation of the AP Government.
Later, representatives of Cement Companies stated that they will prepare the proposals in two to three days.
