Chandrababu Naidu meets NATS team Hyderabad, Aug 11 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu met a delegation from North America Telugu Society (NATS) on Monday.
The team lead by NATS president, Gangadhar Desu, invited the Chief Minister for a celebration of America Telugus in Los Angeles in July 2015. NATS has been working and serving Telugus in North America in cases of emergency and other services.
The organization had donated Rs 52 lakh in LIC Bonds to an Indian student Abhinay Reddy's family after he drowned in the swimming pool in the US. He was an MS student at the Indiana University.
The organization has also set up a helpline service for Telugus, 18888-483-5848, in need of help. NATS has been supportive in providing medical insurance for students and has set up 23 medical camps in 16 cities of North America.
The organization has also donated $80,000 to Harishita who succumbed to lukemia. Apart from these services, the organization has also developed two Telugu fonts ' namely NATS and NTR code for people.
