TRS Govt working for people's welfare: Dy CM Hyderabad, Aug 12 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah on Tuesday announced that the TRS Government has started taking practical steps to fulfill the promises that it made with the people.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here, Rajaiah informed that a delegation of State Government officials has been sent to Mumbai to hold discussions with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) over issues like waiver of agricultural loans, input subsidy and other issues related to farmers.
He said that the RBI Governor would be briefed about the instances of suicide by the Telangana farmers and the need to resolve the farm loan waiver issue on war footing basis as it would benefit nearly 39 lakh families.
Rajaiah also informed that nearly 22,000 contract employees would be regularised soon. They include about 12,000 contract employees of health department alone.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already initiated the process to turn Hyderabad into an international city. A team of officials has been making the draft plan and consultants are being hired for the job.
He said necessary orders for distribution of Rs 10 lakh to the families of Telangana martyrs along with three acres of land and other promised benefits would be issued in the next 10 days.
Further, the cases related to Telangana agitation would be withdrawn in the next one week, he said. He also advised the Centre not to interfere with the rights of the Telangana Government.
