Avoid confrontation with Centre, T-Cong advises KCR Hyderabad, Aug 12 (INN): Telangana Congress leaders on Tuesday advised Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to avoid the confrontation attitude with the Centre.
Speaking to media persons here, Former MPs Ponnam Prabhakar and G Vivek and former minister S Rajaiah said that KCR's unilateral decisions were hurting the interest of Telangana people.
They said instead of having confrontation with the Centre, KCR should focus on making effective representations by taking the opposition parties into confidence.
They also accused Telangana BJP of having surrendered before Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and damaging the Telangana cause. They alleged that the TDP and BJP have entered into a secret pact over the issue of grant of special powers to Governor in the joint capital area of Hyderabad.
They said that the Congress party and also the TRS have assured total protection to Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad. However, the Centre was not ready to trust the Telangana Government, they alleged.
