Chinese company delegation calls on KCR Hyderabad, Aug 12 (INN): A high level delegation from Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) of China met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday at Secretariat.
The delegation comprised of Han Zhiqiao, President DEC International and Chairman DEC India, Liang Jian, Managing Director, DEC India, Dr. Zhang Hong, General Manager (Thermal) DEC International China, Zhang Chengli, DEC Representative in India, S.K. Bhan, DEC Representative in India.
DEC is the world's largest power equipment manufacturers and are based at Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Their main business has been power equipment manufacturing and power projects contracting. They have their business base in more than 30 countries and in more than 100 projects.
DEC has expressed its keen interest to participate in the Government of Telangana's efforts to add power generation capacity in the shortest time possible and in an effective way.
The delegation assured the Chief Minister that the Government of Sichuan Province will actively support DEC's business with Telangana for power projects.
The delegation even assured that project finance will be arranged on mutually agreed terms and conditions. DEC offered to set up world class power generation facility with Configurations of 660-1000MW capacity in the shortest time available.
The Chief Minister enquired about Chinese way of life, business systems, farm productivity, power production in China, Information Technology etc. He said that he would like to visit Chengdu and see how the power equipment and other projects there.
He told the delegation that about 30% of the houses in Hyderabad buy furniture from China. The delegation also mentioned to the Chief Minister that they have already supplied power projects equipment to nearly 40 thousands MW of power plants in India in different states. They wanted a long term partnership with Telangana State also.
SK Joshi, Principal Secretary, Energy and Rajashekar Reddy Special Secretary to Chief Minister were present in the meeting.
