Dinesh Reddy assets case: SC pulls up CBI HYDERABAD: A bench of the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case relating to the CBI inquiry against former DGP V Dinesh Reddy in the alleged disproportionate assets case.
The three-member bench comprising Justice HL Dattu, Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose and Justice SA Bobde expressed displeasure at the CBI for the report placed before it.
After perusing the report, the bench found that there were lots of discrepancies in the report and pulled up the CBI that at one place it has mentioned that there were no disproportionate assets and in another place the findings are contrary to the earlier ones.
The counsel representing the CBI sought time to file a fresh report. The bench pointed out the delay in submitting the report despite its direction to complete the probe in a specific timeframe and after repeated pleading of the counsel the bench adjourned the case to two weeks.
