Kamineni Hospital to be opened near Vijayawada VIJAYAWADA: The Kamineni Group has set up a 350-bed hospital at Kanuru near the city. The posh high-end intensive care specialised hospital will be inaugurated on August 16.
Addressing a press conference here Thursday, managing director of the hospital Dr Sasidhar Kamineni said that the business group ventured into healthcare and education sectors in 1993. The group owns four hospitals, two medical colleges, two nursing colleges and schools besides a dental college.
The hospital in the city is designed to focus on patient care with passion. As many as 125 beds have been allotted exclusively for critical care management, he added.
Acute medical care, coronary, nephro, acute neuro care, paediatric neuro endoscopy and other latest facilities are available at the hospital for patients of neighbouring regions.
'We are trying to cut down the on-bed time at the hospital after treatment to help patients to reduce their financial burden. As many as 150 doctors are employed with the hospital at consultant level round-the-clock,' he said.
Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, deputy speaker Mandali Budhha Prasad, ministers Kamineni Srinivas, Kollu Ravindra and others are likely to take part in the inaugural function.
