Relief for KCR: CS & DGP remain in TS HYDERABAD: The Pratyush Sinha Committee on Friday evening prepared the list of All India Services (AIS) officers to be allocated to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The committee at a meeting in New Delhi, which was attended by Chief Secretaries of both AP and TS, finalised detailed guidelines and allocated the AIS officers to the two States.
The file had to be signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That was why the provisional allocation of AIS officers was not placed in the public domain till late in the night.
There was no change of allocation as far as Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and incharge DGP Anurag Sharma are concerned. However, due to the roster system for SC and ST officers, expectations of some officers of being allocated to a particular State had changed at the last minute. IPS officers like CV Anand, Shivadhar Reddy, TP Das, Rajiv Trivedi and Vinay Kumar were allocated to Telangana State.
IAS officers like Smitha Sabharwal, MG Gopal (who is the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams' Executive Officer), JSP Prasad, Rajeshwar Tiwari, Ajay Mishra and Rahul Bojja have been allocated to Telangana State.
The IAS officers allocated to the AP cadre include Satish Chandra, Ajay Jain and Swetha Mohanty. IPS officer JV Ramudu was also allocated to AP State.
Once the Prime Minister signs the file and the provisional list is placed in the public domain, objections would be sought from the officers. The Pratyush Sinha committee will give one week's time for submitting objections, if any.
Later, the final list will be placed in the public domain, official sources said. Once the AIS officers are allocated to their respective states, the AP and TS governments are likely to issue the relevant orders.
The entire process of allocation of AIS officers would be completed by the end of this month. Telangana State is currently facing a severe shortage of All India Officers. Once the final allocation is completed, the administration would be on rails in Telangana.
