T-Cong admits injustice to party workers
Hyderabad, Aug 25 (INN): Almost all sections of Telangana Congress complained that their own party and its senior leaders did injustice to them while in power.
Presenting their reports on the outcome of Group Discussions held with party workers during the workshop at Sri Indi Engineering College in Ibrahimpatnam here on Monday, the Telangana Congress leaders admitted that local workers were neglected by the senior leadership. Further, the traditional voters of Congress party drifted away due to different factors.
CLP leader in Legislative Council D Srinivas presented his report on the steps to be taken to strengthen the organisation. He also highlighted the reasons why the Congress lost the support of communities including employees and Civil society which were traditionally with the party.
Speaking on the strategy to win the confidence of SC/ST Communities, Deputy CLP leader Dr J Geetha Reddy said that the Congress party failed to capatalise the achievement of introducing SC/ST Sub-Plan. However, she said that the SC/ST workers were often felt neglected and let down by the top leadership.
Other senior leaders including V Hanumantha Rao, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, D Sridhar Babu, G Chinna Reddy and others also presented the summary of Group Discussions which were held on the first day of workshop on Sunday.
AICC General Secretary Digivijay Singh, AICC Secretary RC Khuntia, TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Leader of the Opposition in Assembly K Jana Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP MA Khan and other senior leaders were also present.
