TDPP to meet in Bhimavaram on January 7 HYDERABAD: TDP Parliamentary Party (TDPP) is expected to meet in Bhimavaram in West Godavari district on January 7 under the leadership of Chief Minister and party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to chalk out its future course of action on how to exert pressure on the Centre to give more funds and projects to the truncated State.
With the Central government embarking on the exercise of preparing the Union budget, the TDPP meeting is likely to discuss the issue of Centre's dillydallying on according special category status to AP.
The meeting would also discuss the issue of Central projects likely to come to the State. In the State Reorganisation Act, the Centre had promised to set up several national level institutions such as IIT, IIM, and AIIMS in the reorganised State.
