TDP demands Talasani's dismissal from cabinet Hyderabad, Dec 30 (INN): Telangana TDP leaders have demanded the dismissal of Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav from the State cabinet.
Led by L Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao, a delegation of TDP legislators on Tuesday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and demanded that Talasani be dismissed from the cabinet with immediate effect.
Speaking to media persons later, Errabelli said that although Talasani has claimed that he had resigned from the post of Sanathnagar MLA before taking oath as minister on December 16, there was no clarity whether or not his resignation was accepted by Speaker S Madhusudan Chary.
Errabelli said that Talasani's induction into cabinet before acceptance of his resignation was illegal and unconstitutional. Finding fault with the Governor, he said that Narasimhan should have crosschecked on Talasani's resignation before administering him oath as a minister.
Since Talasani was elected on TDP ticket, his induction in the cabinet of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was wrong. He demanded that Talasani should be dismissed with immediate effect and the Chief Minister could re-induct him only after the acceptance of his resignation.
The TDP leader accused the Chief Minister and Talasani of flouting the rules. Further, he said that the Governor should correct his mistake by dismissing Talasani from the cabinet.
