Ongole court issues NBWs against minister
Ongole: Second Additional District Magistrate of Ongole J Sravan Kumar has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Minister for Transport Sidda Raghava Rao, party leaders Karanam Balaramakrishna Murthy, Yalmanchili Babu Rajendra Prasad and 13 others for not accepting summons issued to them.
The arrest warrants were issued in connection with a case pending in the court relating to TDP leaders staging a dharna in front of the district collector's office in Onogle in 2009.
They were protesting an attack on party leader Nannapaneni Rajakumari when she along with other leaders of the party went to Karmachedu in the district on a fact-finding assignment by the party following registration of an SC/ST Atrocities case against the sarpanch.
