KCR's relative denies land encroachment allegation Hyderabad, Jan 3 (INN): Praveen Rao, the relative of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has denied allegations of encroaching upon a piece of land in Rajendranagar.
Speaking to media persons at Somajiguda Press Club here, Praveen Rao alleged that a section of Andhra media was targeting him as he was related to the Chief Minister and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao. Stating that he was in possession of that land since December 6, he claimed that he purchased it from the Tirumala Tirupati Constructions Pvt Ltd., Director M Kanaka Raju.
He said that land originally belonged to one retired Major Hyder Ali Mirza. However, he alleged that another person Satyanarayana has staked a fake ownership claim on the above mentioned land.
Praveen Rao also claimed that there was no mosque or smshan on the land which he has been accused of demolishing to take possession. He alleged that he was being dragged into a controversy by a section of media to malign the image of KCR and Harish Rao, who are not all connected with this transactions.
He also claimed that on being summoned by the ACP Rajendranagar, he had furnished the proof of ownership and possession. He said he was ready to face any punishment if allegations are proved against him.
