T-Cong promises free insurance cover to all members
Hyderabad, Jan 5 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee will provide life insurance cover at free of cost to all its members across the State.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender informed that all members would be provided insurance cover at free of cost. He said unlike other parties, who are charging Rs 100 for the insurance cover, the Congress party would pay the premium for all its members in Telangana State.
The former minister claimed that the party has received overwhelming response to the membership drive in the GHMC areas. He thanked the party cadre for taking up the drive successfully. He also claimed that the Congress party was intact in the GHMC and no leader would quit the party.
Earlier, Danam submitted a report on party's membership drive to TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
