SCR to conduct meetings with AP, TS MPs Hyderabad, Jan 5 (INN): The South Central Railway will conduct three exclusive meetings with Members of Parliament - both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha ' representing the area falling under the jurisdiction of SCR.
The first meeting will be held at Vijayawada on 6th January. The MPs from Andhra Pradesh, primarily representing areas falling in Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal Divisions of SCR will participate in this meeting.
On 7th January, another meeting will be held with MPs from Telangana, primarily representing areas under Secunderabad and Hyderabad Divisions, at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The third and final meeting will be held with MPs from Maharashtra, primarily representing areas under the jurisdiction of Nanded Division of SCR, at Nanded on 8th January.
SCR General Manager PK Srivastava and Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers concerned will attend these meetings. During the course of these meetings, Shri Srivastava will brief the MPs on the performance of SCR on various issues such as freight / passenger traffic, earnings, safety/security, cleanliness, passenger amenities, infrastructure development and various initiatives for providing improved service to rail users on the Zone. The views and the proposals of MPs on railway developmental activities and services in this region will also be discussed in these meetings.
