TS Govt to announce EAMCET schedule today Hyderabad, Jan 5 (INN): Telangana Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday made it clear that the Telangana State Council for Higher Education would conduct the EAMCET and other common entrance tests on its own.
Speaking to media persons after unveiling the new logo of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education here, the minister said that the Telangana Government was fully authorised to conduct the EAMCET and other CETs on its own.
He accused the APSCHE of trying to encroach upon the rights of Telangana Government to conduct entrance examinations for its students. He informed that he would be meeting Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan this evening on the issue. He said there would be no further discussions with the Andhra Pradesh Government on the issue.
Jagadish Reddy also clarified that the Governor did not give any options as reported in a section of media. He blamed a section of media of spreading wrong information on the issue to confuse the students of Telangana. He said that the TSCHE would release the scheduled of EAMCET and other CETs on Tuesday.
The minister also informed that he would be participating in the meeting of education ministers to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday and would make a presentation on State Government's concept of free KG to PG education.
