Jagan to visit Warangal on Jan 12
Hyderabad, Jan 8: Resuming the Paramarsa Yatra in Telangana region Sharmila would cover six constituencies in Nalgonda district from January 21, while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Warangal on January 12 to console the bereaved family of the Party leader who died in a mishap.
Announcing this after the Telangana State Executive meeting, Party Working President P Srinivas Reddy told reporters here on Thursday that: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Warangal to console the family members of the Party Youth wing leader Bhimreddy Sudhir Reddy, who died in an accident recently.
The Paramarsa yatra in Telangana region, which began in Mahbubnagar district, will now resume from Nalgonda district in the second phase and will cover Devarakonda, Nagarjunasagar, Miryalguda, Kodada, Huzurnagar and Suryapet constituencies.
'She will visit the houses of 32 families who lost a member on hearing the news of the death of YSR. The Yatra will begin at Devarakonda and conclude at Suryapet. In all 56 persons died in Nalgonda district and in the second phase she will cover the other constituencies in February. Details of which would be worked out soon,' he said.
Refuting allegations that the Paramarsa yatra is being used for political gains, he said: 'this is not a Party affair. It is only to fulfill the vow YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken to console all the families that lost a member on hearing the news of YSR's death.
We will announce the State committee members soon and will chalk out a programme to strengthen the Party in Telangana State, he said.
When asked about some of the Party members defecting to TRS, he said, we have served notices to those who have switched sides. 'It is TRS that has been engineering defections from all parties, may be with the intention to see that there is no opposition at all in the Assembly.'
When asked why the Party is going soft on TRS, he said we have pointed out the mistakes and we will stand by the people of the region at the hour of crisis. He strongly refuted the charge that he is looking towards TRS.
'My commitment to the work and the Party has given me position and organising the Paramarsa Yatra and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Warangal programme vouch for my sincerity,' he said.
