Recruitments will take more time: TSPSC chief Hyderabad, Jan 12 (INN): The recruitments on various posts through the Telangana State Public Service Commission may not happen in near future.
Speaking to INN, TSPSC chairman Prof Ganta Chakrapani on Monday gave clear indications that the recruitment process may take longer than expected due to procedural delays.
The actual recruitment process will begin only after the completion of bifurcation of Public Service Commission, which may take three to four months.
Further, all recruitments will be done on the basis of new syllabus. The Commission has already appointed an expert committee to revise the test syllabus. The committee is expected to complete the task within a month, he said.
The framework and guidelines for the recruitment process too needs to get the nod by State Government. The Commission is on the job of framing the draft framework and guidelines which are likely to be sent to the State Government by this month end. Once approved, the State Government will issue a GO directing the Commission to begin the recruitment process.
Further, it would be the responsibility of the State Government to identify vacancies in various departments. The government will also decide the phases through which it proposes to recruit employees for different departments and categories.
Based on government's suggestion, the TSPSC will take up the recruitment process. As of now, the Commission has no information on the existing vacancies in the State, Prof Chakrapani said.
Prof Chakrapani informed that the TSPSC would conduct the Departmental tests for promotions within three months. He said the Departmental tests were not conducted last year. Therefore, the TSPSC will conduct both the tests simultaneously.
Meanwhile, the State Government is likely to appoint four to six more members to the TSPSC to make it a full-fledged body. Presently, TSPSC is a four-member body including the Chairman.
The other members are Dr Mateenuddin Quadri, Dr Bhanothu Chandravathi and C Vittal. Of eight names sent by the State Government, Governor ESL Narasimhan had rejected four names. Therefore, the State Government is planning to complete the appointments by sending four new names for the Governor's approval.
