Toll free number on graft flooded with calls HYDERABAD: The toll free number set up by the state government to check corruption got an overwhelming response from aggrieved callers. On day one itself the toll free number received around 2,500 calls.
However, the calls received were less for corruption cases but pertained to pensions, civil supplies, houses and other problems.
The toll free number (040-23454071) was set up at the state Secretariat. All the calls received were routed to a call centre located in Koti in the city.
The call centre was originally set up to advise people about Arogyasri, and employees health scheme. All the calls would be recorded and the advisors will note down the complaint and forward it to the chief minister's peshi.
The peshi officials will sort out the complaints and send them to the departments concerned. Once, the note was sent to CM's peshi, the caller will get a message that his or her complaint was taken note of and action will be taken soon.
