Hyderabad shivers at 10.5 degrees HYDERABAD: The city continued to shiver at 10.5 degrees and if the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre is to be believed, the cold wave conditions would continue for next 3-4 days. The weather condition would remain the same all over Telangana and at some places in Andhra Pradesh.
Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts in Medak, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizambad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Warangal of Telangana and Guntur and Kurnool districts of Andhra Pradesh.
A lowest of 9.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Ramagundam in Karimnagar and 10.3 degree in Nizamabad district. Whereas in Andhra Pradesh, a lowest of 12.7 degrees was recorded in Kurnool in Rayalseema region and 14.8 degrees in Vijayawada in the coastal region.
The present cold wave condition is due to the northeasterly winds blowing across the region. M Narasimha Rao, assistant meteorologist, Hyderabad Meteorological Cente, said: 'The weather is expected to remain the same in the coming few days with marginal fluctuation.
Till first week of February, the weather is expected to remain cold and after that there would be gradual rise in the minimum and maximum temperatures.'
The city witnessed its lowest minimum temperature on Saturday when it recorded at 10 degrees celsius. For the coming days, the weathermen have predicted clear skies with fog or mist in the morning in the capital city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 28 and 10 degrees respectively in Hyderabad.
