TRS did not win SCB polls, claims MLC Prabhakar Hyderabad, Jan 14 (INN): Congress MLC MS Prabhakar on Wednesday rejected the claims of Telangana Rashtra Samithi of winning the elections of Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB).
Speaking to INN, Prabhakar said that except one, all other candidates who won the elections from seven other wards belonged to the Congress.
However, he said that the candidates have defected to the TRS after the declaration of results. Since the elections were not held on party basis, the candidates took complete advantage of the same, he alleged.
Without taking any names, Prabhakar alleged that some TRS ministers have lured the winners of SCB elections to join their party. He claimed that all the candidates, for whom the TRS leaders campaigned, have lost the elections.
Therefore, he alleged that the TRS played a trick at the last minute and gave an impression before the people that it has won the SCB polls. He also accused Commercial Taxes minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav of misleading the people by making wrong claims of TRS victory in the SCB polls.
He alleged that Talasani has been misleading even the TRS Government. Referring to his remarks against AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he challenged Talasani to stage a dharna before Naidu's residence if he was really serious about Telangana's development.
Prabhakar also claimed that it would be a direct fight between the Congress and TRS during GHMC elections and the Congress party would win maximum number of divisions to bag the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. He said that the TDP-BJP combine would be wiped out from the city in the municipal elections.
