AP Govt gears up to launch Smart Village program Hyderabad, Jan 17 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh Government is fully geared up on the implementation Smart Village/Smarty Ward program from Sunday onwards.
Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Saturday held a video Conference with all the District Collectors and directed them to conduct a Padayatra in each village tomorrow to signal the launch of the program by involving all functionaries, especially the Gram Sarpanch, members of the panchyat, the ANM, the Asha Worker, Anganwadi Workers, local teachers and other village level officials.
The Chief Secretary explained in detail the salient features of the 20 major points of the Smart Village/Ward program to the collector and requested them to roll out an action plan for achieving all the goals set forth in the program.
They were also requested to identify individuals from the village holding places of eminence within the country or abroad and get their contacts and utilize their services for the development village/ward.
The Planning Department was requested to prepare profile of each Ward and Gram Panchtyat and place it on the state government website for further planning of development activities at village level.
