MLA's daughter booked for drunken driving Hyderabad: A young woman driver with a Blood Alcohol Concentration three times the permissible limit was among 35 persons booked under Motor Vehicles Act by the city traffic police during an enforcement drive against drunken driving.
The traffic police said that the woman in her early 20s was identified as Krishna district Pamarru MLA Uppuleti Kalpana's daughter U Keerthi. On seeing policemen, she tried to take a turn and evade checking, but was intercepted by police.
Police said that a woman driver travelling in a car bearing the number (AP 09 CU 9029) towards Banjara Hills Road Number 10 was stopped by the Banjara Hills traffic police as part of the enforcement drive at about 11.30 pm.
When asked to take a breath analyzer test, the police personnel found that the woman driving the car had a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of 105 mg per 100 ml, which is more than three times the permissible limit. The legal permissible limit is BAC is 30 mg per 100 ml, the traffic police said.
