Medak to have Rs 9,000 Cr reservoir: Harish Rao
Hyderabad, Jan 20 (INN): Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Tuesday sanctioned a new reservoir for Medak district. The proposed reservoir will have the storage capacity of 51 TMC and it would be constructed at a cost of Rs 9,000 Crore.
According to Harish Rao, once operational, the reservoir would irrigate 5.5 lakh acres of land across Medak district. He also informed that Rs 4,200 crore is being spent to supply water to 2,400 villages across Telangana State.
