Wipro Premji thanks Naidu for clearing project Hyderabad, Jan 21 (INN): During his meeting with the Chief Minister, Wipro chairman Azim Premji said he was glad to revive his relationship with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
He expressed his delight that the IT SEZ proposal which was pending for 3 long years has been cleared in a record time of 7 days. He assured the Chief Minister that he would help the state government in promoting industries.
During the meeting Premji has agreed to support the state through the following: As a pilot project ' they will develop Vizag as a digital city; An E-Governance product will be developed through a joint venture. The equity will be decided and WIPRO will collaborate in developing apps; They will associate with the state in skill development; WIPRO will set up a soap (Santoor) factory in Hindupur and Anantapur and the Wipro GE Health Care initiative will be taken up.
The Chief Minister has requested their assistance on technology solutions to aid municipal functions ' monitoring, control.
Further, Premji suggested that the Chief Minister interact with Nandan Nilekani of UIDAI for Aadhar-driven governance solutions like Cash Subsidy optimization, inter-linkages between government schemes and also meet with Kiran Muzumdar Shaw for corporate social responsibility.
