Good response to land regularisation HYDERABAD: With large tracts of government lands available in Ranga Reddy district, that too in the fast developing areas where real estate market flourished, the response for regularisation of constructions built in government lands under GO 58 in the district has been overwhelming.
About 1.2 lakh applications for regularisation under GO 58 have been received till now. Even under GO 59, about 2,500 applications have been received and more than ` 25 crore has been collected from the applicants towards regularisation.
A majority of applications have been received from areas considered outskirts of Hyderabad. There is a huge response from areas like Quthbullapur, Serilingampally, Balanagar, Saroornagar, Hayathnagar, Shamirpet, Ghatkesar, Uppal, Keesara, Malkajgiri, among others.
While Ranga Reddy district as a whole received 1.2 lakh applications, just from Quthbullapur mandal more than 40,000 applications were received.
From mandals like Seriligampally and Saroornagar the application count surpassed ten thousand mark. In sharp contrast with urban mandals, the number of applications for regularisation from rural mandals has been poor. In many mandals like Kulkacherla, Gandeed, Nawabpet, Bantwaram, among others not even one application has been received till now.
Location of sought-after places from realty point of view, like Gachibowli, Maheshwaram, Adhibatla, Uppal, Ibrahimpatnam, Hayathnagar, Samshabad, in the Ranga Reddy district has played a major role in attracting huge number of applications for regularisation when compared to other districts.
'The constant rise in demand for land over the past ten years on Hyderabad outskirts, has led to the encroachment of government lands in Ranga Reddy district.
Now all those who built constructions in government lands want to make use of this opportunity to get regularised. Availability of large tracts of government land made encroachments possible in Ranga Reddy district, unlike Hyderabad where land availability is very less,' said Makajgiri Revenue Divisional Officer S Prabhakar Reddy.
