TITA requests for more Smart Cities Hyderabad, Feb 2 (INN): The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) team on Monday met and congratulated Singireddy Niranjan Reddy on his appointment as Vice-Chairman of Telangana State Planning Commission and urged him to plan for developing second rung cities like Warangal and Karimnagar as smart cities to attract IT investments.
Speaking to the TITA members, Niranjan Reddy said that the Telangana State Planning Commission would play a key role in developing Telangana state, including IT Industry, with new strategies and better planning. Telangana Government will be utilizing every opportunity to achieve the promised 'Golden Telangana', he said.
'The TSPC should give top priority to develop Tier-II cities like Karimnagar and Warangal as smart cities as they are generating a lot of IT professionals in various domains. The visibility of these cities as an IT destination should be re-invigorated with the government focusing on creation of plug and play infrastructure providing a right IT ecosystem. TITA appreciates Telangana Government's initiative of T-HUB, the country's largest start-up incubation center at IIIT and request to plan similar initiatives in Tier II cities too,' TITA Founder & President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.
TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar, TITA Advisor Sangameshwar Rao, Vice-President Naveen Gaddam and General Secretaries Ashwinchandra Valaboju and Naveen Chinthala were among those present on the occasion.
